Qualifications:                           The strong candidate will have appropriate Texas Teaching Certification (or eligibility), and “highly qualified” designation under NCLB legislation. Previous middle school experience is preferred but not required.

Salary/Benefits:                         Min. $36,652/Max. $58597 + Coaching Stipend. District match 4% annuity. District pays for $374/month of health insurance costs.

Contract Length:                       11 month

Notes:                                      Plains Middle School is a campus that serves 140 5^th- 8^th grade students in a West Texas Town of 1,500 citizens approximately 70 miles Southwest of Lubbock. The campus is a TEA Exemplary campus, and has held that designation or Recognized designation every year since 1994. Plains Middle School has a long history of meeting the varied needs of our students in ways that allow them to excel. Salary/Benefits:                         Min. $35,320 / Max. $52,770. District match 6% annuity. District pays for $374/month of health insurance costs.

Contract Length:                       187 Days, beginning August 2008
