Jacob Brink signs with New Mexico Highlands University

Jacob Brink accepted a college scholarship to play football for New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU) in Las Vegas, New Mexico.

Once a Cowboy always a Cowboy, since he was raised as a Plains Cowboy, and will go to college and play football for the NMHU Cowboys as well. Jacob, a senior at Plains High School, received the following honors this year:
First Team Offense 7-1A All-District Team
First Team Offense 1A All-South Plains Football Team
First Team Offense 1A All-State HuddleUpTexas.com Football
2nd team Texas Sports Writers Association 2009 All-State 1A Football Team
He is the son of Christy and Kyle Martin of Plains, and the late Coach Edwin Brink, who coached and taught history for 28 years before passing away – 16 of those years at Plains.
Jacob is the grandson of Rodney and Carolyn Simpson of San Angelo, Cliff and Cindy Bryan of Athens, and the late Eddie and Frances Brink from Coleman.
