Kelly Bowers was nominated for a Cowboy Compliment!! His nominator said, "Mr. Bowers is an outstanding teacher! He is passionate about his student’s education. He has a way of encouraging each and every student to strive to be their very best. My child had always struggled at math but after taking his class she left feeling confident and strong in her math skills. My children are also participate in his UIL class and have both blossomed and gained confidence. They have found something they love and excelled in. Mr. Bowers is always willing to put in extra time, help , encourage, & lift up our students. Not only is he passionate about our student’s academic education, he is an active member of our community. He always goes above and beyond to make his students feel important and that they matter. He works very hard to build our UIL math program. He created a UIL class and also takes time to have after school practices, where he feeds his team. He is knowledgeable, kind, caring, and compassionate."
Corey Hogue, Jamie Covarrubias, and Melissa Martinez were all nominated for a Cowgirl Compliment!! The nominator wrote, "I just want to take a moment to thank these three young ladies Corey Hogue Pre-K Teacher, Jamie Covarrubias Pre-K Aide and Melissa Martinez Kindergarten Aide for being such wonderful teachers who care deeply about their students learning and feelings. They go above and beyond for their little ones. Whether if they need extra breakfast in the morning, they make sure everyone gets a snack that didn’t bring one from home. They make sure their nap mat, towels, pillows and sometimes their clothes get washed here at school. They have donated to certain students secondhand clothes and shoes that are in good condition. (You should see the kids faces light up). They make sure when a student is having a bad day they sit and listen to them by showing them compassion and understanding. It takes patience, endurance and talent to be a teacher, but you three make it look so easy day after day. I hope you know just how much we all appreciate you. Thank you for loving on these sweet babies!
So Proud of you Three Amigas !!!"
