Plains High School is happy to announce the August Students of the Month, Diana Reyes and Nate Escoto.
Diana is the sophomore daughter of Filiberto and Martha Reyes. She is class president and participates in UIL academics. She is also a member of Student Council. Diana enjoys visiting Mexico and hanging out with her dog, King. She also enjoys photography because it helps her capture valuable memories. Diana plans to attend Angelo State University to earn a degree in criminal justice. She wants to pursue a job as a forensic scientist or criminal profiler. One of Diana's teachers said that "Diana is a self-starter and very hardworking in class. She is willing to help other students when needed and always has a positive attitude."
Nate Escoto is the junior son of Juan and Anita Escoto. He plays football, basketball, and golf. He also is in FFA. He enjoys playing the guitar, listening to music, and grilling. His future plan is to attend Angelo State and get a degree in agriculture science. One of Nate's teachers said that Nate is "a top-notch student who is always a willing participant in classroom discussion. He is a joy to have in class."
We are proud of these students. Their achievements and hard work make them our Students of the Month!
