These kids had another fantastic participation in the Canyon/Tascosa meet!!! They competed in different chambers against kids from 6A schools from Dallas, Amarillo, and Lubbock areas!! Taylor did amazing. She placed 2nd in her chamber and 6th overall, making State points!!! Matias placed 4th in his chamber and Merideth 6th in hers!! Emmie gave strong arguments according to the judges, and Anahi gave a solid speech!! Congratulations Speech and Debate team!!

On Friday, November 22, 2024, Plains HS will be presented presentations from our local 1st responders about driver safety starting at 8:15 am. Ending the event with an assembly for not only our 8th grade through 12th grade students but for our community also, presenting Aspen’s story in the auditorium at 11:30 am. Aspen Story, is a West Texas family is working with TxDOT to speak out about the importance of making responsible driving decisions — a point made tragically clear by their daughter’s crashed car, which the family donated to help them spread the message and save lives. Aspen Story Assembly Friday, Nov 22 at 11:30 am 8th -12th grade open for community.
