Plains High School is pleased to announce its September Students of the Month, Leah Williamson and Fermin Luna.
Leah is the junior daughter of Gary and Crystal Williamson. Leah is a drum major for the Cowboy Band, and she plays volleyball. She also is a member of the Student Council. She enjoys cheering in the stands and hanging out with her friends. Leah is successful in the classroom, as well. One of her teachers said that she is "a hard-working student who always goes above and beyond in her work. She is intelligent and a good thinker."
Fermin Luna III is the oldest son of Fermin and Nohemi Luna. He is involved in football, cross country, basketball, track, tennis, and UIL math/calculator. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family. His favorite sport is basketball, and he likes to practice basketball with his dad and brothers. Fermin's future plans are to attend Texas Tech University and become a medical dosimetrist. One of Fermin's teachers said that "Fermin is rising as one of my top students. He is a hard worker, and I am proud of his efforts."
We are proud of Leah and Fermin and excited to call them our Students of the Month.
