Plains High School is excited to announce that Andie Saxon has been named 1 of 12 finalists for this year’s Barbara Jordan UIL Essay Contest. Plains High School is extremely proud of Andie to be selected for this UIL event among the entire state of Texas.
The Barbara Jordan Essay Competition was founded in 1995 as an event sponsored by The University of Texas at Austin, the Barbara Jordan Historical Essay Competition moved to its new home with UIL Academics in 2011-2012 with students competing in one division, 1A through 6A. The competition provides students an opportunity to explore the contributions of African Americans to Texas history, as well as honoring the legacy of its namesake, Barbara Jordan.

3) If you choose to pay shipping your images will be processed immediately and shipped out the next business day. If you do not want to pay shipping your images will be processed April 26th and be shipped to the school that week. After April 26th you will have to pay shipping on all orders and they will be shipped to your address.
