Congratulations to Julissa Magana. She is the 2nd Student of the Month for December. Julissa, daughter of Hedsi and Elizebeth Magana, is a sophomore at PHS. She plays tennis, runs track, and is on the powerlifting team. She also is a member of Student Council and FCA. Julissa enjoys spending time with her friends. Her future plans are to attend college to obtain a business degree and become a realtor. A teacher who nominated Julissa said that she is "sweet, respectful, a hard worker, and is always smiling." We are proud of Julissa and proud to call her our Student of the Month! #plainsproud

Congratulations to Aiden Bain Nelms Sanfillipo. He is the Plains High School December Student of the Month. Aiden is the son of Roy Sanfilippo. Aiden's hobbies are drawing, listening to music, and spending time with friends. He is involved in the Cowboy band and one act play. His goal is to be inducted into the National Honor Society. His future plans are to attend South Plains College and later transfer to Texas Tech to pursue a master's degree in psychology. One of Aiden's teachers said that Aiden "has been working hard in class to stay caught up and maintain good grades, which are important to him." We are proud of Aiden and happy to recognize him as the December Student of the Month. #plainsproud
